Mrs.
Diane Ives - Lead Accompanist
Diane Ives received a Bachelor of
Music Degree from Michigan State University in 1968, and
further studied piano performance, accompanying, and
elementary education at Western Ill. University, 1970-1971.
She taught vocal music at St. Joseph School in
Howell, 1990-1997 and taught at McPherson Middle School as
director of choirs, 1997-2000. She
also accompanied the Children’s Choir (CMS Singers) and HS
Treble Ensemble at Michigan State University, 1997-2001, and accompanied the
Middle School State Honors Choir in 2000.
Presently, she is the accompanist for all of the
choirs at Howell High School as well as accompanist for the
Livingston County Chorale Children’s Choir, 2003-2006 and
the Adult Choir of the First Baptist Church in Howell,
1973-present. She accompanies many students for Solo and
Ensemble Festivals and maintains a private piano studio.
As piano accompanist for Howell High
School, Diane works full time accompanying 5 choirs during
the school day and one selected ensemble, Highlander
Chorale, from 6:30-7:30 two mornings a week.
These choirs give four formal concerts during the
year plus choral festival, and choir tours.
Highlander Chorale gives about 35 performances during
the year. She
also accompanies the high school musical.


Gina Jones -
Accompanist
Gina Jones received her Bachelors of
Music Education from Illinois State University in 1985.
She taught general music and beginning band in Homer
Township, Illinois from 1985-1989, and was the accompanist
for Manteno High School Choirs from 1989-2005. She
started accompanying for the Howell High School Choirs in
August 2005 and also plays for the Community Congregational
United Church of Christ in Pinckney. She has enjoyed
teaching private piano and flute lessons since 1985 and has
played for many Solo and Ensemble festivals, high school
musicals, and community theater productions. She lives
in Pinckney, Michigan with her husband Dave and their 4
children.
